CYCLE CENTER PROPOSAL

by Makoto Shibuya — Finalist

Creating a DestinationA Unique Viewing OpportunityEfficiency in ProgramA Fun Place to be

Description
The goal of this proposal is to get people excited about the sport of cycling. The unique program and already popular trail make it the perfect sustainable venue for a building that is able to evoke a sense of excitement and give back to its users. This proposal attempts to seamlessly integrate the different types of cycling enjoyed across the board. By day, it is a great utility for commuters along a popular trail, but it also has the potential to become a destination for hosting larger events. Through its architecture, it allows visitors to feel closer to the action than they ever could have before.
