The new UCLA Marina Aquatic Center is a responsive solution to the unique program of the building, and the incredible site where it lives.

Exposed to many of the natural elements, the building attempts to harness many of those opportunities available to it, while also complimenting the busy bike path and traffic adjacent to it.

Busy circulation paths no longer need to intersect. Simple and flexible spacial elements create an exciting place where all of the building functions can be integrated or operate independently depending on the occasion.

Access from the public bike path, an observation deck, equipment rentals, information on the neighboring wetlands are all integrated to help make this a destination everyone gets to enjoy.
